Home About us People Services Contact     James H Hamilton Jim graduated Bachelor of Accountancy at the University of Glasgow in 1976. He subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant working in general practice. Thereafter Jim spent two years in the motor trade before joining with Ronnie Gilmour in 1984 to form Gilmour Hamilton. John Roberts John established our Financial Planning Division in 1993 having been recruited from Standard Life where he worked for a period of 5 years as a Financial Consultant.  John has a wealth of experience in Financial Planning and has led our firm into the Wealth Management arena delivering Gilmour Hamilton’s overall investment strategy and client propositions. John also has a vast range of industry relevant qualifications. Neil McConnell Neil joined Gilmour Hamilton in 1997 and is now an associate with the firm. Previously Neil gained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Glasgow before completing his training as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. Predominantly his experience was in the provision of audit services to clients in a wide variety of industries. In 1990, Neil left Ernst & Young and became Financial Director of a company in the construction industry before joining Gilmour Hamilton.
